this diwali...

the first diwali without my dearest grandfather-my Nana..i am i tears when i think that he is not going to be present for any of the festivals and most importantly for this festival.
Right from my childhood, every diwali my nana would come driving his kinetic(the one i get to drive now :)) and as soon as he reached our society lane, he would start pressing the horn button and just won't stop till the time we don't step out of our house. i bet, if spark was with us before 10 years he would be rapidly moving his tail out of joy right from the minute the honking would start. ...
So every diwali Nana would come and announce that its time to shop for crackers. he would take us to the best cracker stalls and order us to take whatever we wanted. he would whisper from behind that take that fire-fountains and the fire-tops (these were his favorites). he would ask us to take extra packets of colorful 'taramandals'.
even in crisis, he would make it a point that we celebrate diwali with lots of fire crackers. after a day or two, he would request us to get few fire crackers from home and burst it in front of him. we would sit together as soon as it used to get dark, and bring all the fire crackers in the courtyard. a smile would always come on his face looking at the fountains.we could see a twinkle in his eyes when he would lit the taramandals. it seemed that he felt content looking at the light and color sparkles that were emitted out of the crackers.
this diwali..i know nana is not going to come..but still my heart is eagerly waiting to hear his voice..i wish that he comes and takes me to cracker stalls i wish we get to burst crackers in front of him..i wish to see the sparkle and glow on his face..wish he comes..i wish...
miss u nana....
ur absence is felt every moment....
love you..
